Newcastle United secured a winning end to 2025, with a 3-1 win away from home against Burnley to round out the calendar year.

The Magpies struck first and struck early through Joelinton, and Yoane Wissa quickly doubled the advantage to give Newcastle a two-goal lead inside the opening 10 minutes of the contest.

Fabian Schär put in a solid defensive performance throughout the contest, while also proving accurate in his distribution with the ball as well.

Late in the contest, it was the captain Bruno Guimarães who sealed the three-points with a goal in stoppage time to make sure the Magpies head into the New Year in winning form.
